For this tutorial you are going to need a dingbat called
Dividers & Misc. You can download it here. You have to install
this dingbat in your c:\windows\font folder. If you can't see the dingbat
after installing it, restart your computer. It should work fine then :-)

In PSP open a new image with these settings:

I know it's bit big but we are going to resize the dingbat later :-)

Click on this icon:

Now, use these settings. A dingbat is always a capital. For this
divider, I chose shift-a. You can always look for another dingbat
you like:-) I chose this colour #9395C6 (I like my purples) but you
can pick any colour you like.

To make sure you have the styles option right, look at this:
This is what you should have in your right uppercorner
to make sure the dingbat is filled with your colour :-)

Click OK....Do not de-select !!!!

On my screen, after clicking OK.....the dingbat's not in place.....

We want the dingbat in the middle so...with the cursor, move over the dingbat
untill this appears:

Now you can drag your dingbat to the middle of your image.

It already looks nice but I wanna add some depth to my dingbat/divider.

Go to effects, 3-d effects, inner bevel and use these settings:

Ofcourse you can play around with these settings but I find that
these work best :-)

Now you should have something like this:

De-select the image: ctrl-d
Your divider is ready but we still have to re-size it because it's a
bit big.....

Go to image, resize and use these settings:

Your dingbat/divider is the perfect size for a divider now.
Go to edit, copy...
Go to edit, paste, as new image.....

And this is the image you should have now:

The only thing left to do now is save this picture as a .gif and you are
ready to use it.....

Go to file, export, gif optimizer and use these settings:

Click OK and save your divider.

And you are ready. You might have to play around with this gif optimizer a bit
before you get it right. Sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesn't.
