This tutorial is going to be a bit more complicated. Well, maybe for me to write it that is :-) but I am going to try.

You are going to need........

vm natural sparkle
fm tile tools
20/20
Animation Shop

I have used this lovely picture for this background:

Now, open this picture in 20/20. Go to image, seamless tile.

Save your picture and open it in Paint Shop Pro.

In PSP go to effects, plug-in filters, fm tile tools, blend emboss and use these settings:

Now we are going to add our sparkles :-) First make two copies of our background
image....click shift-d twice. If everything went accoring to plan, you should have three
of the same images now. Minimize two of them.

Go to effects, plug-in filters, vm natural, sparkle and use these settings:

Save this picture as sparkle01.jpg. Close this picture.

Now maximize one of the two minimized pictures.

Again go to effects, plug-in filters, vm natural, sparkle and use these settings:

Save this picture as sparkle02.jpg. Close this picture.

Now open the last of the minimized pictures.

Again go to effects, plug-in filters, vm natural, sparkle and use these settings:

Save this picture as sparkle03.jpg. Before closing this picture you have to write
down the width&height of this picture: width: 248 and height: 300. Close this picture.

Now open Animation Shop. Go to file, new and use these settings for your
animated background:

You will get this window:

Right click in this frame and go to insert frames, from file:

You will get this window:

Click on add file and add your three images you just created. Do make sure
they are in the right order. Click OK.
You will see this:

Click on the right arrow a few times. After the third image,
there will be an empty frame. Right click on this empty frame
and delete it. Now you have three frames. We do need to change the
speed of the sparkles a bit. At this rate.....it is way too busy.

Right click on the first frame (F:1 D:10), go to frame properties and use these settings:

Do the same with the other two frames (F:2 and F:3). We've almost finished our
sparkle background now. First, let's check the animation. Right click on the first frame
and chose the option view animation. I think it turned out pretty good :-) Let's save our animated
background :-)

Go to file, save as.......sparkle.gif. After you've typed in the name and clicked save you will
get the next option:

click next.....

click next....

click next......

click finish........there's your animated background !!!
