Two was the lucky number for American Idol last week. As the summer's top hit pared down to a pair of singing finalists, its Tuesday and Wednesday editions were the two most-watched programs for the second week in a row.
The Aug. 28 show, when Nikki McKibbin was
eliminated, attracted 16.9 million viewers. That was the Fox singing competition's
largest audience before Tuesday's head-to-head competition between Kelly
Clarkson and Justin Guarini drew 18.7 million.
