Why I decided to do this page...

I decided to do this page in order to not only promote a terrific movie, with some pretty amazing people involved in it, that is getting notice out there on the film festival circuit - as well it should - but to also have a page that deals with the important issues in the lighthearted film.  That's one thing I always admire about independent film making these days, they have something to say - so I thought I'd highlight that below and get to the heart of this touching movie with it's humour and insight into something we all face - aging, and doing so gracefully.

P.S.  I was honored to have met Tony Shalhoub recently at the William S. Paley Television Festival celebrating his show 'Monk'.  I only wish I had had the chance to speak to Brooke who also attended.  But, all in all, it was a memorable experience.

      YOUR SUPPORT GROUP

All in all - there are several people behind this movie, not just me - who would like to see it's success.  May it get the credit it so richly deserves in it's run now in theatres!  We all wish for it's success!!  Know we're behind you 100%!  If you would like to sign your name to a little message saying you'd like to see the movie where you are - please do so here or here!!  Let's show our support!

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - THE MEDIA HYPE
So much of our society is based on image, weither or not we actually realize it.  Everytime you turn on the
TV, it's front and centre stage.  Youth seems to be the rage, every single movie these days exponents the fact.
But, more and more of society is growing older and older.  So what are we to believe?  We live in a world
where you are to understand that age breeds wisdom...so why don't we believe it breeds beauty.  Below are some fine articles on just that issue and also some good links that show that beauty is a permanent thing,
and that you can grow more beautiful with age.

A BIT ABOUT THE CAST AND CREW

OK, on to something a bit about the movie - something lighter, as this is a comedy after all!  The wonderful
cast and crew are well-established and not so established actors who pooled their resources to make a
movie that has already won awards at many film festivals.  Though I myself have yet to see it, I look forward
to the day when I will.  It sounds like a terrific, witty and heartwarming story.  Here are some of the folks that
made it happen:

Lynne Adams (star, writer and producer)

Lynne is Kate James in the film.   Not only does she have a role in the movie, but Lynne Adams is also
the person who wrote the screenplay for it and was one of the acting producers of 'Made-Up'.  Lynne's
other credits include:  a reoccuring role on 'Guiding Light' (as Leslie Jackson Bauer Norris Bauer),  'Grace
of My Heart', 'The Secret Storm', and a role on 'Frasier'.  She is the sister of actress, Brooke Adams and
sister-in-law of Brooke's husband, actor, Tony Shalhoub.

  Brooke Adams (star and producer)

Brooke is Elizabeth James-Tivey in the film.  She also helps produce the movie.  Other film credits that
Brooke has been a part of:  A role on 'Mr. Monk and the Airplane' (with her husband, Tony Shalhoub),
'Picture Windows' (TV mini-series), 'The Lion in Africa', 'Key Exchange', 'Lace' (TV mini-series), 'Cuba',
'The Dead Zone' and many more.  She is married to actor, Tony Shalhoub and is the sister of Lynne
Adams.

  Tony Shalhoub (star and director)

Tony is Max Hires in the film.   Tony Shalhoub also directs the film.  Other film credits for Tony include:  'Monk' (TV series), 'Life or Something Like It', 'Men in Black', 'Men in Black II', 'Thirteen Ghosts', 'Against the Odds', 'Galaxy Quest', 'Wings' (TV series), 'Stark Raving Mad' (TV series) and many more.   Tony is married to
actress, Brooke Adams, and is the brother-in-law to actress, Lynne Adams.

  Eva Amurri (star)

Eva is Sara Tivey in the film.  Eva's other film credits include:  'The Banger Sisters', 'Anywhere but Here', 'Bob Roberts', 'Earthly Possessions', 'Dead Man Walking', and 'Saved'.  She is the daughter of actress, Susan Sarandon.

  Kalen Conover (star)

Kalen is Chris in the film.  Other than 'Made-Up', Kalen has appeared in 'The Number'.  If you have more information on Kalen, please let me know.  Thanks!

  Light Eternity (star)

Light is Molly Avrums in the film.  Other than 'Made-Up', Light has appeared in 'Garth Brooks...In the Life of
Chris Gaines' (TV).  If you have more information on Light, please let me know.  Thanks!

Jim Issa (right) and Lance Krall (left)  (Jim is co-producer, stars)

Jim is Eli in the movie.  Lance is Simon.  Jim also co-produced the movie with Lynne and Brooke.  Other
film credits for Jim are:  'Death Force'.  Other credits for Lance are: 'Juwanna Mann', 'The Downer Channel'
(TV series), and 'The Cindy Margolis Show' (TV series).
