Here Lies Taka

Disclaimer: Most to all characters in this story are taken from The Lion King.
I take no credit in the creation of the movie, and/or its publication.

(This story gives a couple of new characters which will be in my next story "Zuri's lover".
I'll get it done as soon as possible......P.S., I took on the name "Zuri" *AFTER* I wrote these stories,
(It just felt like a good name)) so technically I don't think she's a Mary Sue character, but whatever.)

The death of a sweet youth who couldn't escape the levels of evil surrounding him. Given the level of sadness, I'm gonna give it a 'PG-13' rating.

Ahadi, Karanga, Mufasa, a few lionesses, and a couple of bystanders came to the funeral ceremony of Taka. He's lying in such a poorly dug grave that one can easily trace the outline of his thin body.

Ahadi: We are here this evening to remember Taka....but I ask, who could forget such a pest?

Sarabi: *snickers*

Ahadi: Taka was here to become king......(the kings of the past forbidding) if Mufasa, or his offspring were to die.

Sarafina: *yawn*

Ahadi: The cause of his death was suicide, which was advice he finally took from me.

Sarafina: Heheh, really? You got the little bastard to kill himself? How?

(3rd person narration)

Spitefully angry with his son, Ahadi had finally said to Taka what had been on his mind for months.

"You know Taka, we would all benefit from your death.
Mufasa isn't going to die, so we don't really need your family line to rule Pride Rock.
I can't imagine anyone who could possibly care for you. Do us all a favor, and kill yourself
Mufasa's hunting skills are poor, and we could use a fresh kill."
After these cruel words left his father's mouth, the adolescent lion ran out of the King's cave in sadness.

That next morning, Ahadi went out to the ledge of Pride Rock to gaze at the sunrise. He looked down at the foot of the rock, to see what looked like a dead animal. Anxious to know, he ran down to the base of
Pride Rock to see Taka soaking in his own blood. His jaw was broken, and his ribcage was crushed so severely,
it was beyond natural healing.

Seeing no signs of life left, Ahadi took his son over to another area of Pride Rock to bury him. He effortlessly dug up a small grave, barely big enough for Taka. He tossed his son carelessly into the hole, and noticed....Taka's eyes moving. They were rolling into the back of his head, still clinging on to life.
Ignoring Taka's final attempts to live, Ahadi proceeded to bury his son alive. Kicking the pile of dirt into the "grave" he managed to cover his dying son's entire body-- with the exeption of one of his front paws that emerged from the soil....waving goodbye to his father with every last ounce of strength. Ahadi took quick notice
of Taka's paw, simply dumped more dirt on to cover it up, and left his now dead son in the vast lands of the Pride.

Ahadi (Continuing from Sarafina's question): ....I told him that we'd be better off without him. The next day I found him at the ledge with his neck snapped.
I guess he took me seriously about the whole "being without him" thing.

(Suddenly a grand roar is heard through the short pause)

Karanga: Ahadi! How could you?!

(The broken-hearted mother runs away after hearing this.)

Sarafina (sarcastically): We should go after the queen before she kills herself too.

(With this being said, the congregation runs after Karanga with the exception of a cheetah, named Zuri, her
young cub brother Kario, and Zira.)

Zira: We'll never forget you Taka. We still love you very much.

(Zira signals Zuri, and the young cub over to his shallow grave)

Zira: Lets make an honorable grave for him. He would appreciate it.

(The three dig up excess dirt to cover their beloved Taka. Afterwards the three bow their heads in respect, and mourning.)
