This work is based on Walt Disney's film The Lion King, so, elements and characters taken from this movie are property of Walt Disney.
The story of me and my incredible Scarmania is very long and I don't want to put it on everything I do. Please check it out at the beginning of my story The Lion King 3: Scar's Revenge.
My second work is a far cry from the epic Scar's Revenge. This story is about the love affair of Scar and Sarafina. It is a straight-up drama. The time span of the tale goes from the time that Scar returned to Pride Rock to the birth of Nala. Of course, this is a much shorter time period than in TLK3:SR. This story only covers a few months, less than a year. Once again my story is meant to flow well with Rocio's story: Broken Legacy.
If you have any comments (good preferably) e-mail me at Scar_the_lion@hotmail.com. My website is at http://pages.bolt.com/movies/uncle_scar/. There is not too much I can do with it, but I really do try.
One final thing: I must warn you, this is not a G-rated piece of work. It contains certain aspects that might not be good for all audiences. It contains a few swear words, but it is not that bad, because the words themselves are not on a very high level of vulgarity. This story contains many more sexual references than my last work, due to the fact that the basic concept of the story is the mating of Sarafina and Scar. Don't get too excited about the mating scenes. I feel that I am a pretty good writer, but I don't have much talent for love scenes. I'll try, though. There will definitely be a sex scene. Once again, Sarafina and Scar's conversations get rather risquŽ at times. Also, realize that there is constant nudity, because lions have a tendency not to wear clothes.
I need to thank a few people real quick: my friends, for somehow understanding my addiction, my sister for enjoying my work (even if I thought it wasn't good for her to read), and my parents, who allow me to keep this computer, and support me in (pretty much) everything I do. . .even my Scarmania.
Now just sit back and read the true story of the creation of Nala, the Child of Lies.

"I can't say how glad I am that you've finally returned, brother."
"Well, I feel glad about my decision also, but the main reason I pulled you aside was to ask you a question."
Taka had finally returned to the pridelands. After what had seemed like an eternity without his brother, Mufasa's incredible joy on seeing his boyhood friend and brother coming back to his home could not possibly be described. There was one major change in his brother: Taka was now Scar, and had seemed to take on traits of that namesake in his soul, but this didn't really matter. Mufasa's brother was home.
"What did you want to ask?"
"It's very personal, brother. . .is that OK with you?", Scar asked nervously.
"It's even better if it's personal," said Mufasa with a grin. Scar smiled.
"Actually two questions. . .umm. . .was Sarabi your first true mate? I mean, the first one you actually loved?"
Mufasa didn't even need to think about the answer to that. "Yes. She is without a doubt my first love. Why are you asking?"
"Well. . .you're king of the pride. I know about some of your. . ." There was a quick pause as Scar struggled with an obviously held back laugh. ". . .royal duties." Mufasa looked confused for a second there, but his bewilderment ended as his brother dramatically fell to the ground upon his back, lifted his hindquarters in the air, and gyrated his body in an obvious parody of a pleasured lioness. "Oh, Mufasa. . ." he moaned in the midst of laughter. "You're such a GOOD KING!" This scene was too much for Mufasa to handle and he started laughing uncontrollably. Upon hearing his brother's laughter, Scar too started to cackle, relaxing his body and laying down on the stone floor on the ledge outside his personal cave.
Laughing, Mufasa was barely able to get out "OK. . .OK. . .I understand you. Love the imagery." Then he regained his composure in a regal fashion, but still suffered obviously from the sheer hilarity of his brother's actions. "You said there were two questions. . .what was question number two?"
"What?"
"Your question."
"I just asked it."
"Question number TWO."
"Ohhhhh. . ." Scar had completely forgotten about his other query. "Umm. . .errr. . .ah. How old were you when you first got it on with Sarabi?" Mufasa gave his answer, which brought on a sudden fit of laughter from his younger brother.
"What's so funny?"
Scar, through his tears of laughter, was able to look Mufasa straight in the eye and tell him, "Brother...you may have been the best at running, hunting, and the favorite of the family," Scar's last words got rather high pitched, and he cleared his throat. "But you were not the first to have your piece!" Laughter ensued again.
"Whaaaaaat?" roared Mufasa in a perturbed yet amused tone. "Are you telling me that my scrawny, shrimpy..."
"...sexy, elegant..."
"...scraggly little brother has bedded down a lioness before the king of the Pridelands?" Mufasa beamed. "I'm so proud of you, little brother!" With that, he embraced his brother, still laughing. He failed to notice the falter in Scar's chuckles.
"Umm...yeah...that's right, Mufasa." He broke the embrace and walked backwards a few paces.
"So what pride is she from?"
The words stumbled out of his mouth. "Umm...she wasn't from a pride...she was one of those..." He stopped and thought. "...loner types."
Mufasa seemed a little disappointed but reassured himself. "Well, what's her name? I'm sure I'd know who she was."
"Oh, I don't think so...it was a long time ago. I mean, I don't even know if she's still alive. It's Ok."
A solemn look from Mufasa hailed suspicion for the younger. "Are you trying to tell me something?" he said as he approached.
Scar was showing all signs of uncomfort. He was twitching nervously and making wild, swift gestures with his paws. "I'm...not trying to say....I'm not a freak, Mufasa!"
"I never said you were."
"I'm not a freak, Mufasa! I didn't have a choice...you can't understand."
"What are you trying to say, brother?"
"You were here in the Pridelands staring at all these beautiful lionesses. Every one of them begging to become one with you. Not Taka...no...Taka has to scrounge. Taka has to take what he can get, can't he? Shouldn't he have?"
"Are you saying....no....please....that's not what you're saying, is it, Scar?"
"I had no choice...I wanted to, she wanted to...."
"Did you..."
"I had sex with a hyena!!"
Total silence. The strong Mufasa stood in one corner facing his verbal opponent. In the other corner stood Taka a.k.a. Scar, twitching, huddled, nervous, and scared. At first, Scar had been winning. But he had become Taka, and in that change, he lost the upperhand, and revealed all.
"You what?"
"Mated, screwed, banged, stuck it in, fed the dog a bone! Call it what you like! I can't change what I've done! I loved Shenzi, and she loved me, and we needed each other!!"
"SHENZI? THE QUEEN OF THE HYENAS?" Mufasa's eyes seemed to glaze over with a near-stupor. "The king's brother...practically a prince...has mated with the queen of the hyenas??"
"YES HE HAS, MUFASA!! YES HE HAS!!!! AND HE'S DAMNED PROUD OF IT!!!" Scar was screaming with passion, pulling up every memory buried deep within his brain. "You had both Sarabi and Sarafina wanting you. You had a father who thought you were the greatest thing to happen to the Pridelands since grass. YOU were chosen to be king! YOU didn't get beaten by your father, mistreated by your peers, sent into seclusion, and then get THIS!!" He pointed to his namesake, which garnered the left side of his face. "And you GAVE me THIS, MUFASA!! You stampeded them towards me, and I took the full blunt of your stupidity! And I have suffered for it, and paid for it, and screwed to let it be forgotten, and I WILL NOT BE ASHAMED!" With these last emotional words, Scar slumped to the ground and started crying.
Mufasa immediately walked over to him and attempted his best to comfort his brother. "I'm sorry, Taka...I'm sorry. Please forgive me." These are the words that his mouth spoke. His soul said the same but simply added "you poor pathetic creature."
The prince was in the Pridelands. Normally news like this would cause joy, excitement, and general revelry. Normally the prince wasn't a spiteful creature, one who'd left on his own accord, and considered near a bastard. The festivals of welcome were held, but with dwindled attendance. The usual attendees were there, but not many others. They weren't happy to see him back. They wanted the ceremony to be one of farewell.
Scar paced his new quarters quietly. He knew how all the animals in the kingdom felt. His mind had developed a list of possibilities: leave the Pridelands forever, become a closer part of the pride, seek revenge, or kill himself.
Number one was out of the question. He had fought to hard to get there, and damned if he was going to let those stupid little creatures win. He was going to be there at the end of his life, no matter what.
The second choice seemed a good deal harder. Lionesses can incorporate themselves easy by congregating with the other lionesses, but it is not that simple with the males. Basically, everything in lion society traces back to intercourse. For a male to be better accepted by the group, he can simply impregnate a lioness, preferably a well-respected one. The most respected lionesses in the tribe were Karanga (his mother), Sarabi, and Sarafina.
Seeking revenge looked attractive, but it couldn't be done on the spur of the moment. Like any masterpiece, it had to be planned and plotted for a long time, and Scar didn't want a remedy in the late future. He needed it then. He would have time to plot while he was a respected member of the pride.
Ah, number four. Truly, the most attractive answer. Show them all. Let them all see what their lack of feelings and caring can do to someone. Scar walked to the edge of his outcropping. Below it, ominous pointed rocks stretched towards the sun. A simple leap, a burst of pain, and nothing else...that's all it had to be. He had a chance to paint the floor between the spikes crimson. Mufasa would only be able to stare at the mangled body of his dear brother. No words would be able to describe how horrific it would look. But then, he knew that they would receive pleasure in dumping his body into a common grave. They would bury it under an inch of dirt, so that the vultures and those hyenas he so loved would feast upon his corpse. "No, I won't allow you that pleasure, brother." Goodbye, number four.
Scar needed time to think about his next course of action. He decided to walk around Pride Rock until he came up with a good answer, and then go back to his home and plot it out. He had all the time he wanted to do that. Thus, off he went on his "journey."
In another part of Pride Rock, a group of lionesses sat in a cave and talked. The topics were the same as they usually were: Mufasa, the weather, and of course, gossip. Today the buzz was about Scar. In fact, in had been for quite some time. Ever since he showed up, the most common phrase used by a lioness was "Taka." He was dying, he was sick, he liked to have sex with hyenas, he slept with male lions...just a handful of the rumors spread about him. One of the more lighthearted ones was that he had had his penis removed, after it had gotten stuck in a female hyena. But while this one was a total jest, other ones were taken more seriously, and the fact that a prince of lions and a queen of hyenas had had intercourse was becoming a published fact.
Sarabi and Sarafina were usually the ones in charge of these sort of gatherings. They were twins, though they didn't look alike. Sarabi's fur was slightly darker than Sarafina's, and while Sarabi had eyes the color of crimson, her sister's were green like new grass. Both were healthy and beautiful, and they were considered the two most beautiful lionesses in the pride. No one dared attempt to figure out who was best. In these session, they would each sit closer to the middle of the cave, and there would be three to seven lionesses around them. And they'd all talk.
"Mufasa was just talking to him and Taka threatens him...says he'll slit his throat!"
"Nooo! I heard he said he would bury him alive!"
"Drowning? Push his head underwater until he couldn't breathe? Or is that what Mufasa threatened back? I'm just not sure."
"What I do know for sure..." spoke up Sarafina, lifting one claw into the air, "is that Taka has had sex with Shenzi, aka Queen of the hyenas. This is a disgusting display, and I don't think we should allow him to become a part of the pride."
One younger lioness spoke up. "Why should we do that? He did what he needed to do in that situation...can we really judge..." She suddenly noticed that she was receiving dirty looks from every other lioness. "Nevermind," she stammered, but then added in a low tone of voice, "but he is kinda handsome."
A few of the other lionesses nodded in assent and Sarabi spoke up. "Yeah, I'll have to give him that. He's not as handsome as my Mufasa, but he does have his own assets. He's less regal, but more elegant...but I don't care too much for his scruffy aura and terrible personality."
Sarafina chimed in with her own praise. "I hate him. He's a bastard."
"What are you talking about, sister?" Sarabi was flashing Sarafina a sly smile. "You liked him more than any of us! You had a crush on him for a while!" The other lionesses started to laugh.
"Yes, Sarabi...I did! But now I hate him! He wasn't smart enough to realize that there were people to care about him! Anybody that stupid I want nothing to do with! If he has a shred of dignity, he would leave Pride Rock right now and never return. I for one, never want to see him again!"
Dead silence.
After a long period of time of uncomfortable quiet, the other lionesses got up, said their goodbyes, and left. Sarafina was left there, with Sarabi standing up staring at her. "I never knew you had so much hate, sister. If you have a shred of responsibility, take care of that. You can never hate someone that much." Then she walked away.
Sarafina was left in the middle of the cave. A tear fell from her face to the cold rock floor. She had chased away those closest to her with her opinion. She truly did hate Scar, but she had let hate take control of her, and now she was suffering for it. What could she do now?
"Sarafina?"
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" she snapped back and turned her head to growl at the presence. She stopped growling when she caught a glimpse of the black-maned, fairly startled lion in the cave entrance. Then her brain made the parallel and the growling commenced. "Scar....what business do you have here?"
Scar chuckled nervously. "I was born here. I live just around the corner...sorry. I was checking to see what was going on. How are you doing, Sarafina? Are you sad?" He gestured towards the little pool of saline next to her front paw.
She quickly rubbed it into the ground. "Yeah, I'm sad. I'm sad that you're here, Scar. I was perfectly fine never seeing you again. I might have been able to respect you if you'd died out there in the wilderness, instead of living off old lion corpses and screwing hyena queens. Why don't you just go back to the filth you came from?"
Scar walked over closer towards her. "What did I do to deserve this from you? Was it because I didn't succumb to your advances when I was younger?" Sarafina's eyes opened wide. "I knew the whole time, Sarafina. I knew you had a thing for me. I didn't agree to it, because I knew we'd end up this way anyway." He flashed her a toothed smile, and sat down next to her. Sarafina looked embarrassed.
"Did you...care about me? Was I the only one?"
Scar smiled again and put his mouth up near her ear. He whispered "Not at all...I was in love with you."
Sarafina giggled and rolled over onto her belly, where she started laughing. "Oh, that's so great!! I always thought you were completely dense...or that there was something wrong with me!" She got serious for a second and looked up at Scar. "Scar...do you think I'm pretty?"
There was no word for the look that was flashed at the reclining lioness. One of puzzlement, nervousness, shock. He stammered with his words. "Umm...ye..yes, I...I think you're very pretty, Sara...Sarafina."
She smiled at him. "Thanks, Taka." He smiled back.
After that point, Scar and Sarafina saw each other every day. They would spend many hours a day just talking. They enjoyed each other's company. It became common practice for, after the gossip sessions, Scar to join her. The gossip sessions changed in themselves. Sarafina didn't make bad comments about Scar. She didn't stand up for him, but everyone assumed it was because she was scared of shunning everyone like she did the last time she spoke against Scar. A few of the lionesses were suspicious of the two talking, but as a whole, they didn't believe that they would ever do anything. Thus it continued for many many days...
"...so Ed ends up getting his head stuck in between the elephant's ribs!" Both Scar and Sarafina started laughing. "Aw...even though he's such an idiot, I love that guy. He's one of the funniest people I've ever met." Sarafina wiped her eyes, and cleared off the tears of laughter, then she started looking at Scar.
He eventually noticed that he was being stared at and acknowledged her. "Yes, Sarafina?"
"You once said I was very pretty." She just gazed at him with her large emerald eyes. "And you also said that you used to be in love with me, right?"
"Ye-yes...?"
"Well," Sarafina nuzzled Scar's face. "What's stopping you now? I'm here, you're here...and I know you love me." She dragged her tongue across the side of Scar's midnight mane.
Scar seemed very nervous. He backed away from her kiss. "Sarafina, we shouldn't...it's not right..."
"Why isn't it?" She rubbed his side with her head.
"Because when you're in heat, you shouldn't just grab the first male you come across..."
Sarafina interrupted him. "I'm not in heat, Taka." She sighed and sat right in front of him, facing him. "I've been talking to you for a long time. At first, I thought I hated you. Now, all our talking has broken that barrier, and I've realized...that I'm in love with you, Taka. I want to be one with you. I want to feel you inside of me, and know that all we have is a pure love for each other." She pushed Scar onto his chest and licked his face.
"I never knew you felt that way. I do love you, Sarafina. And I want you more than anything." They licked each other's maws. They found themselves with their arms wrapped around each other, and licking each other's faces and bodies. They gave out noises of passion as they felt each other's tongues cover their bodies. Sarafina licked Taka's new namesake as he nibbled on her neck. Had a lioness walked by the cave at that time, which would certainly have been possible, she would have been shocked to see what was happening. Sarafina, the greatest degrader of a certain bastard prince, in the throes of passion with the Evil Scar. Eventually, the passion culminated into a greater act. Taka found himself unsheathed, as did Sarafina. From there it was simply a matter of motion, sliding back and forth as they clutched either as tightly as if they were holding on for their lives. In a way, though, they were. Their lovemaking continued for a few minutes until eventually the time came and their love was consummated in a glorious burst of energy and ecstasy on the part of both parties. At the same time, they both felt the peak of passion, and afterwards, they could just lie there on the ground, holding each other tightly, smiling.
"That was the most wonderful thing I've ever done, Taka." She licked his nose in between pants. "I absolutely loved it. Thank you."
Her lover laid under her, trying to catch his breath. He had never experienced such passion before. Even more, he had never experienced passion with a lioness, but he also didn't believe that Sarafina was your ordinary lioness. She was something much more. "I should be thanking you. For the first time in a long time, I actually feel loved." He smiled at her.
She smiled back. "You should." Her breathing finally returned to normal and she said. "We are going to do this again."
"Yes, we most definitely are. How about one more time right now?"
"Why not?"
This went on for days, weeks, months...day after day, Sarafina would be visited by her black maned lover and they would share their passion numerous times. Different positions, different speeds, different intensities, and on occassion, different locales...nothing was out of bounds to the lovers. Never in history had a couple been able to attempt their exercise as many times as they would in a typical day.
But then the day came.
Sarafina went into heat. They were both faced with a dilemma. It took a lot of thought, but eventually they reached a conclusion. The time of thought is believed to be the shortest increment of time ever recorded.
They mated. Five times. Just to make sure they got it right.
And after that, Sarafina's belly began to grow. After the moon went through its cycle thrice, the cub would be born. And after the first cycle, the change was evident.
And Sarafina was proud.
"I am not pregnant!"
Sarabi just laughed. "Come on, sister. It's obvious. I was at the exact same stage as you a cycle ago." Her belly was quite large with a cub she had created with her mate, King Mufasa. "You can't tell a giraffe he doesn't know what a tree is."
Sarafina started yelling at her sister and the other lionesses who were surrounding her in their usual meeting place. "But there's no way I can be pregnant! It can't be! I haven't done anything."
One lioness chimed in her opinion. "Nothing...except turn your back on a horny male!" The other lionesses burst into uproarious laughter. Eventually, after Sarafina had suffered about a minute of embarrassment, Sarabi became the voice of reason.
"Seriously..." she looked her straight in the face. "Who is the father?"
Every lioness turned to face Sarafina. Their ears perked up so as to hear the answer. Sarafina stood in the center of them and sweated. Never had she felt that kind of pressure. She bit her lip as the stares of her friends pierced her straight through. She thought deep and hard, and eventually decided how she was going to deliver it. Her lips parted and she told them that it was
"A ROGUE?"
"Well, what else was I supposed to say?"
Scar glared at her. They were in the place where they usually mated. They had ceased their regular ritual recently to avoid hurting the cub, but now this place, which was usually filled with passion, was a haven of rage. "You could have told them the truth?"
Sarafina laughed. "Yeah, I'm sure I could have done that. I definitely could have told them that I mated with the lion I hate the most."
"That was the past, Sarafina. You ARE allowed to change...to adapt."
"I've only adapted in my own eyes. No one else, other than you, knows about my change of emotions. The taunting, the jeers...what'll happen if I admit we've screwed...you just can't understand."
Scar hastily walked right up to his mate and put his face just inches away from her own. "I understand that you just lied about the father of our child. I understand that you don't want this to be my child. I understand that you don't give a crap about me..." He paused, and then muttered under his breath, "And you certainly don't love me."
With this, Scar let his head down and stared at the ground. If he had looked up, he would have seen the trembling lip and moistened eyes of Sarafina. "But Sca...Taka...you know I love you...I love you more than anything." She attempted to nuzzle him, but he forcefully pushed her away with his head.
"If you love me so much, Sarafina...what am I going to have to call my cub? Am I going to be allowed to even see him once he's born? What am I to him?"
Her eyes filled with tears, she said "You'll be her uncle."
Scar laughed as he saw his mate's sobs. "Her uncle, huh?" He shook his head. "Well, I'll agree to it on one condition."
"This really isn't a condition sort of..."
"The final test to see if you love me." Scar glared at the lioness who had taken so much away from him at once. "If the cub is a boy, you will name it after me. No questions asked."
"But..."
"No questions."
"Name it Taka?"
A brief smile flashed on the face of the bearded lion. "Yes...name him Taka. Make him a daily reminder of who the real father is." And with that, he walked back to his lair, leaving the pregnant Sarafina to cry alone.
Sarabi had her cub, and she named him Simba. He was to be the next prince, which sent Scar into a deep depression. However, he showed up for a later event: his own child's birth.
After a while, the cub was born, and providence shined upon Sarafina, as the child was a girl. In addition to that, the cub in no way resembled her father, but supposedly looked like a good cross between her mother and the rogue lion. Everybody sat around and talked about how much she looked like the father, trusting in the honest word of a new mother. Only two in the pride knew the truth about the new blue eyed member of the pride.
As Sarafina sat in her lair, stroking and nuzzling her newborn, a lanky figure once again appeared in the cave entrance. "Is she healthy?"
The mother smiled. "Perfect condition. She looks bored, though. Seems like she's taking after you."
Scar laughed softly and walked right up to the two generations. "Maybe...maybe." He sighed as he looked at the creature which he helped design. "Does she have a name?"
Sarafina nuzzled Scar and licked him on his cheek. "I'm sorry about everything that's happened, Taka. I truly do love you, and I wish it didn't have to happen like this." She started to purr softly.
Her target regarded the affection with pure apathy and repeated his question. "Does she have a name?" Sarafina ceased her attempt at a truce and proceeded to stroke the warm head of her young lioness cub.
"I've decided to name her Nala."
Nala's father looked at her with curious eyes. Suddenly, Nala seemed to come to life and licked Scar's nose with her tiny tongue. The stoic, hateful lion couldn't help but put out a wide grin. And Sarafina could swear she saw a tear fall from his dark eyes as he said
"Hello, Nala. I'm your uncle. I'm your uncle."
