THE LION KING TALES : #2>> "SCAR’S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE"
=======================================
CHAPTER 1: "THE DEATH OF SCAR"
=======================================
Scar was cornered, he had no place to go. Simba had him backed up against the edge of a cliff. If Simba attacked him here, he would most likely fall to his death. "B- B- B- But Simba. I- I- I- am am fami- ly. You wouldn’t k- k- kill a family member would you?," Scar asked. "No Scar, I’m not like you," Simba responded fiercely. Scar, in response to Simba’s answer, said "Oh thank you Simba, how truly noble of you. How can I prove myself to you? Tell me anything! " Simba looked at Scar with a stern expression on his face and said, "Run Away Scar!" "Run away, and never return!" Scar, who was naturally shocked by this reaction, nervously thought to himself for a minute, quickly going over his options. Finally, he said, "As you wish," and began to walk away for points unknown. "As you wish, YOUR MAJESTY!!!! "
What luck, Scar thought. A pile of hot coals, from the burning grass of the savanna, was lying near him. He quickly threw some of the hot coals at Simba. Direct hit! Simba roared in pain, and covered his eyes with his paw. A fierce battle began. Scar slashed at Simba. Simba leapt at Scar. But Simba was too late to realize his mistake. Scar was ready for his arrival . Scar knocked Simba across the face with a mighty blow, so powerful it made Simba nearly fall off the edge of the steep cliff. Simba was in deep pain. It felt as though all of the bones in his body had been broken. He could not move. He was sure his life would be over any minute now. Scar watched this scene with an evil eye. An evil smile grew wider as he saw Simba hit the ground in extreme pain. Scar decided that this was the time to act. He jumped straight at Simba, teeth and claws bared. Simba only had enough time to cover his face with his paws. But Scar never had the chance to attack. In one last effort, Simba kicked Scar in midair and sent him over the side of the cliff into the flames below.

LONG ROAD TO KUBE">>CHAPTER 2>>>
"THE HYENAS GREAT DAY IN THE SUN"
=============================================
When Scar came to, he staggered to his feet. A group of hyenas encircled him. "Ahhhhhhhh-" Scar said, "My friends--" Shenzi looked completely amazed that he had said this. "F-- F-- F-- Friends, she responded, I thought you said we were the enemy? Isn’t that right Banzai?" Banzai only stared straight into Scar’s eyes with a look that made Scar shudder with fear. "No!" , "Ummmm-- l-- l-- l-- le- let m- m- m- m- me exp- ex-- plain," Scar said. Scar tried to tell his side of the story, but realized that it was too late. "Ed?---?" Shenzi asked, and Ed replied with a sinister laugh and a funny, yet sinister expression on his face. Soon it would be all over, Scar thought. Well, he was ready to go. He had been an outcast his whole life, he had been overshadowed by his big brother, Mufasa, and by Simba. No one needed him. He could finally live in peace among the clouds. Soon, it would be all over. And sure enough, Scar’s world went black. And his life was over. Or was it?
Scar awoke to the pleasurable experience of the blazing hot sun beating down on his battered body. He could barely move, and was very hungry and thirsty as well. When Scar finally regained his eyesight and his strength, he noticed that he had somehow ended up in the middle of the desert. A horrible thought occured to him. Was this the afterlife? Was this where bad lions ended up once they met their demise? He was so scared that he would live in this hot inferno for eternity. "This can’t be the afterlife,” Scar muttered to himself."
Scar thought about it for a moment and put two and two together. He came to the conclusion that he was indeed still alive, and by some miracle, was not killed by the hyenas. But how had he ended up here, in this barren wasteland? He looked around at his new surroundings. All he could see were endless sand dunes stretching for miles in every direction. How did he get here? Scar scratched his head for a moment and thought about what had happened. It suddenly dawned on him that the hyenas might have been behind this. Instead of finishing him, they had decided to dish out a punishment that fit the crime. They had brought him far away from the Pridelands and left him here, in the middle of this vast desert, to die.
In anger, Scar let out a ferocious ROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRR!!!!! It could have been heared miles away, but in fact, no one heard him, as he was all alone out in this desert. "Those traitors!," Scar shouted. His angry shouts echoed across the vast expanse of desert. "Those traitors! Those hyenas would have been nothing without me! After all I had done for them. I gave them power, and they betrayed me. If I ever find my way back, they will pay for their betrayal." Scar Roared once more in extreme anger. Calm down, he told himself. He had to move on. He knew that he would die if he stayed in the desert. Now, he was on his own. He would never return to the Pridelands again.

THE LION KING TALES #2:>>"SCAR'S JOURNEY- THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE"
CHAPTER #3>>>> "LOST, AND ALL ALONE"-- "SCAR’S EXILE"
==================================================
Scar had no idea where he was, or where to go. For most of his life, he had only traveled only a few miles from the boundries of the Pridelands. He was a lion who liked to stay in one place, and was not used to being displaced from the only home he had known. He was sad, because he had some friends there, back at Pride Rock, none from Simba’ s clan of course, but some of the lions who had joined the pride he had become good friends with. He was pretty sure that he would never see them again.
"Well, There’s nothing I can do about it now. I have to go somewhere. I can’t stay here much longer," Scar said. He looked in all directions trying to decide which direction to go in, and finally, after nearly half an hour had passed took off. He needed to find food and water or he would die with or without the help from the desert. Scar did not know this but he was travelling in a Northerly direction, away from the Pridelands, when he had hoped that he was travelling towards his former home.
Days passed, and still no sign that the desert would ever end. Scar was losing energy fast. The situation was getting desperate. He hadn’t eaten in at least a couple of weeks, and the only water he had had in the last few days was from a short rainshower, that had only helped cool his body for a few minutes. The hot sun blazed down each day, and Scar dreaded each sunrise. He felt like giving up, and laying down to die, but he kept going. He could not give up. He was not that weak! Scar was limping, as his foot had been savagely attacked by Simba and the hyenas. His entire body ached from the intense pain. The pain bore deep down inside his body, like a thousand knives slicing through his skin at the same time. He regretted his actions, and felt sorry that he had hurt Simba. He wished he would die, he deserved it. He had killed Mufasa, and hurt Simba in the heat of the moment, and had never thought about the consequences. Now, he wished he could relive his life over again. Next time, he would do things differently. He knew though that this was impossible. There would be no chance to make up for his actions, there would be no next time. He would never be able to face Simba again, and could never return to the Pridelands. He would forever live as an outsider and an outcast, forever roaming the vast African wilderness, alone, until his death.

THE LION KING TALES: #2>>"SCAR'S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE"
CHAPTER 4>>> "SCAR FINDS PEACE AND FINDS HIMSELF
IN THE VALLEY OF THE RIVER KUBE"
==================================================
It was night in the desert wilderness. Night was a sharp contrast to day. In the daytime, blazing hot sun scorched everything within reach, but at night, it became so cold that after a while, Scar could not stop shivering. He prayed to the stars: "Please, I beg you mercy, please forgive me. I never meant anything I said or did. I never wanted to kill Simba or Mufasa, honest!”" He couldn’t survive more than one more day like this. It would soon be over.
Scar awoke the next morning, not to the blazing sun of the African desert, but to the cool refreshing breezes of a river valley! Was this heaven? Or a cruel dream?All around him were beautiful vistas, as far as the eye could see. Trees were everywhere, unlike the savanna, and Scar was grateful for the shade. How had he gotten here, Scar wondered? The jungle was teeming with wildlife. All creatures, great and small were carrying on the Circle of Life right before his very eyes. Was this all a cruel dream? Scar asked himself again. How could he get from the desert to this beautiful oasis in one night?? Scar looked around at his new surroundings as if he couldn’t convince himself that this was real, or just another desert mirage. It was too beautiful to be a dream though. Scar had found his Paradise, and he knew that this haven would be his new home. He would be able to live out his life in peace a- tranquility.
"Ahhhhhhh-- glad you like our home." Scar quickly turned around in great surprise and noticed a huge Tiger who was perched on the top of a rock, watching him admire the scenery, with keen interest. Scar, who was still a bit startled by this sudden appearence, said "Umm-- m- m- m- Who- who- are- y- y-y- you?" The giant flame colred tiger walked up to Scar. "Welcome to my humble home!" "I am SHERE KHAN, King of the Tiger clan of the Kube River Valley.Who are you?" Shere Khan! He was only a figure of legend among the lions of the `Pridelands. No one had ever seen him in person before! Was this really the Great Sher Kahn? Scar bowed his head in gratitude. "I don’t know how to thank you-- You saved my l-- l-- l-- l-- life." ShereKhan replied, "Please, it was nothing. We found you while out on the hunt and brought you here. You can join us, if you prove yourself worthy. But first answer the question. " "C- C- C- C- Certainly, Sh- Sh- Sh-- Sher-r-r- K-K-k- Kahn," Scar replied. Scar didn’t want to reveal his true self, so decided to cover-up his past with a mask. "I-- I-- a- a-m am Kalari, from the Southern savanna. I have been banished from my pride, and was sent running for my life across the desert. I got lost, and found myself here." ShereKhan responded, "You were fortunate to have landed so close to the Kube River. We might not have been able to get to you in time."
Scar noticed more tigers and a few lions walking towards him. "Let me introduce you to the members of my fighting force." "Kalari, I’d like you to meet my right hand lion, Trimidian the brave. My fellow members of the Kube Tiger Clan, This is KALARI, from points to the south. He will now take the sacred oath of the Kube River." Trimidian walked over to Taka and said, "Kalari, The honor I am bestowing on you is one to be worn with great respect and pride. Once you have the mark of a Kube warrior, you will always be a member of our loyal family." "You will always have a home to come back to." "Repeat after me: I Kalari, do solemnly swear to uphold the sacred laws of the Kube River Valley. SHERE KAHN is our faithful leader and brother. We must treat him with the most sincere respect, and he will pledge to show respect to his faithful subjects. The members of Kube River Tiger Clan fight with honor, dignity, and pride. There is to be no backing down during battle, as there is no obstacle that is too big to defeat our fighting force. We will fight to the death, and pledge to come to the aid of any fallen comrades. We will forever remain bonded together in the Great Circle Of Life, and pledge never to disrupt this great circle." Scar-- tried not to laugh at this, as he had already broken this part. He had already tried to disrupt the Great Circle of life, but he certainly wasn’t going to let the truth be known, not now, when he was about to join a new group of friends. Trimidian continued, “As clan members, we will always remember that we will always come out on top. Repeat after me: "I, Kalari- will do my best to contribute to the Tiger Clan Of The Kube River Valley, and will pledge never to break the bonds of friendship or brotherhood. I herby give my word to the ALMIGHTY SHERE KAHN, so forever hold my peace." And so, the oath had been taken. Scar, or Kalari, had now become a member of a new group and was no longer an outcast. He was sure he would never have to worry about Pride Rock, the Pridelands, or Simba, again. He was finally free, free to live out his destiny!!!

The Lion King Tales: "Scar’s Journey- The Long Road to Kube"
Chapter 5---- "THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA- A NEW ERA OF PEACE"
======================================================
Many miles away, Simba was learning what it takes to be King of the Pridelands. He was learning more with each passing day. He had daily duties now that he had to uphold. As King, you have to deal with many different aspects of the Pridelands. You had to be protector of the Pride Rock Community, the one that members of the pride turn to for help. You had to be a skillful leader, and could never turn away for even one minute. As Simba knew extremely well, one minute without contact with your subjects, could very well mean the end to your reign as King. And as Simba had been through so much in his life, he always kept a watchful eye over his Kingdom.
For the next few years, Simba would reign supreme at the top of the pyramid of the Great Circle of Life. He always was there for his family as well as his loyal subjects. He ruled with dignity, grace, and pride. Simba soon earned a reputation as being one of the greatest Kings of the Pridelands the world had ever known. He was excited about being able to teach his son, Tanabi, the many rules a young King had to follow, and enjoyed watching him grow. Nala, looked more beautiful with each passing day. Simba had even managed to unite his former enemies, the hyenas, and now had become great friends with Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. It had taken some time, but as time heals most wounds, Simba was eventually able to forgive the hyenas for what they did. He rewarded them for disposing of Scar by leaving him in the desert, a punishment that fit the crime. Scar was the real enemy. The hyenas had been used by Taka to help him win the throne. If Scar hadn’t tempted them with false hopes and false promises-- false lies, Simba felt that Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed would never had allied with him. So now, with the union of the hyenas and Simba’s pride, peace had finally arrived in the Pridelands. It was truly the Dawn of a new Era, an era of peace and tranquility, that Simba hoped would last forever.

THE LION KING TALES #2:>>>> CHAPTER 6:
"THE TEST OF A KUBE WARRIOR"
======================================================
While SImba was out ruling the Pridelands,Scar, or Kalari as he was now known by members of the Tiger Clan of the Kube River Valley was learning to be a Kube Warrior. It took many years of training and dedication to become a true Kube warrior. Scar was in the lowest ranks, but was soon moving swiftly up the ladder towards the top. In less than five years, Kalari had risen to the third highest position in the ranks in Shere Kahn’s fighting force, only Shere Kahn’s advisor, Trimidian, and Shere Kahn himself ranked above him. He had gained much respect for these feats, but still had to complete one final test. This test was to be taken only when a Kube warrior was deeemed ready, and Scar had indeed proven himself a lion worthy of the mark of a high ranking Kube warrior. Scar was on night watch one evening, when Shere Kahn’s right hand lion, Trimidian, came up to him. "Brother Kalari, you have been chosen by Shere Kahn to undertake a task that will determine whether or not you are worthy of the mark of a true Kube warrior. His Royal majesty Shere Kahn wants to see you personally. Follow me."
Scar had never really sat down and talked with Shere Kahn. This opportunity was one to be treasured. Not everyone had the chance to see Shere Kahn for themselves. Shere Kahn enjoyed his privacy and only talked at great length with those of highter positions. Of course, he was always there for any member of the clan in need of assistance, and that is what made him a great leader. Scar was honored to have his first long meeting with Shere Kahn.
=============================================
THE LION KING TALES 2: "SCAR'S JOURNEY-- THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE"
CHAPTER 7 >>"THE GEMSTONE OF POWER"
==============================================
Even before he entered Shere Kahn’s quarters, he could feel his presence. Trimidian told him he should wait until Shere Khan called him in. "KALARI-- come here at once!," boomed the deep voice of the almighty Shere Kahn. Scar stepped nervously into Shere Kahn’s reception room, not sure whether he was in trouble or not. "Kalari, you have been personally selected by me, Shere Kahn, to head a military operation of extreme importance. This mission could quite possibly mean the rise of our clan to power over the entire world. If you are successful, Kalari, you will be rewarded with the Golden Staff of Kube, the same staff that once belonged to my father, the Great Shere Kahn, who ruled Kube before me."
Scar thought about it for a minute and said, "}B-B- But wh-wh-wh- why d-d-d- did you choose me, Shere Kahn?Th-Th- There were many others who probably deserved it more." Shere Kahn answered, "Kalari- Your rise among the ranks has been faster than any member of the Tiger Clan Of The Kube River Valley ever. I have never seen a Kube warrior with so much skill and agility and promise as I have seen in you. So naturally, as I had to choose the most qualified to head this mission, I thought that you would be the best candidate for the task at hand." Shere Kahn then went over the military operation. "Kalari, your job is to steal the most prized "GemstoneOf Power" from a lion pride many miles to the South of here. It was once rightfully ours, before the "Shadow Wars" between the Southern lion pride and the Tiger Clan Of the Kube River Valley. Hidzabi was and still is their leader. Naturally, when the Shadow Wars came, Hidzabi used this opportunity to take the Gemstone of Power from my father, in the process killing him and regaining control over the Southern Savanna. We were forced to relocate to the Kube River Valley. I, Shere Kahn II became the leader, and we have been living here ever since. We have been waiting for the day when we could rise up against our enemies and retake the power that is rightfully ours. This Revolution will begin with the Kube Warrior who has proven himself the most, and therefore, this Revolution will begin with you, Kalari, Son of the New Revolution."
" I am honored, Shere Kahn,” Scar replied. He had never felt so much praise before. “I accept, and will fight with all of my strength and skill of a true Kube Warrior. Your majesty, I will uphold the laws of theKube Warrior, and will never back down until the task had been completed. I thank you for this great honor, your majesty, and will do my best to fullfill your orders." "Very wel",” Shere Kahn responded. "The task ahead of you will be extremely difficult. Hidzabi is an extremely powerful and skillful warrior himself. He almost singlehandedly killed my father, and it was mainly he that defeated us. You must not let your guard down, Kalari. We are all counting on you. There is no room for defeat. This is your test Kalari. This mission will prove to me if you are worthy of the mark of a true Kube warrior. Now it is time. You have shown me that you are ready for this mission. Now it is time to act. You are dismissed." With that, the meeting with Shere Kahn was over. Scar was beaming with pride. He had never been shown so much respect in his life. He had to do the job well though. If he was succesful, he would go down as one of the greatest Kube Warriors of all time. With that thought embedded in Kalari’s memory, Scar returned to his quarters to prepare for the fight of his life.
It was almost sunrise over Kube River Valley. The Jungle looked more beautiful than ever before. With this sunrise, Kalari was to begin the Reolution that would foreverchange the course of history. Scar had forgotten his past, as that was many years ago. He now looked forward to a bright future. Shere Kahn provided Kalari with the troops he would need to fight and defeat Hidzabi and the Southern Savanna Pride. He had no doubt that he would be victorious. He had never been so nervous or excited at the same time, as he was now. The hours passed. Kalari spent that final day before battle preparing the troops, going over last minute instructions, and last minute battle tactics. He grew more excited with each passing hour. Kalari always got this way when a battle was in the air. The time for preparation had come and gone. Now all he had to do was wait for the signal from Shere Kahn to begin the long march to victory.

THE LION KING TALES #2: "SCAR'S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE" CHAPTER
8 "THE RETURN OF ELANNA-AN OLD FLAME
RE- IGNITED"
==============================================
It was dusk, the night before Scar was to lead his troops onward to victory. Kalari could not sleep. He was thinking too much of the battle they had ahead of them. He was going over the many things that could go wrong, and what he would do if one of those problems surfaced during battle. He tried to sleep, but every time, would wake up and think about the job that had to be done. He always had trouble sleeping the night before a battle. He knew that he had to be prepared for anything, and could never let his guard down. He had to be prepared for anything.
Suddenly, numerous shouts were heard across the Kube River Valley. "She’s back, she’s back." Who was back, Scar wondered? Shere Kahn emerged from his cave to greet the new arrival. Trimidian walked up to Shere Kahn and gave him the good news. "Sire, It’s Elanna, she had returned with good news." "She has found the location of not only the Gemstone of Power, but also the whereabouts of the Orb of strength." "Sire, I have travelled many long days, and many moons. I have seen many fabulous things along my way and have met numerous friends. But I never forgot about my mission. I searched for 5 years for this orb, and finally, while resting in a cave, many miles to the South from here, I came across the Orb of Strength. I believe that Hidzabi must have hidden it there and kept the Gemstone of Power for himself. Now that we know the location of these two prized objects, we will never be beaten." Shere Kahn looked at Elanna with extreme praise." Your quest is now complete. You have completed this test of a Kube Warrior with flying colors."
Taka couldn’t believe that it was her, Elanna! How had she ended up allied with Shere Kahn? You see, Scar and Elanna had once been lovers, back at Pride Rock. "Elanna? Is it really you,?" Kalari asked. Elanna reponded, shocked that this lion whom she had never seen before seemed to know her as if she was family. "And what are you doing here,?she asked. I've never seen you before today." Scar proceeded to tell her of his adventures and how he came to become the third higest ranking member in Shere Kahn’s fighting force. Elanna couldn’t believe how handsome, this Kalari was. She had to talk to him alone, in private.
That night, Shere Kahn called for a great Celebration. The return of Elanna, was to be a happy moment. She had served his royal majesty, Shere Kahn, better than he had expected.There was a great feast, fun, and games. Everyone had the chance to talk with Elanna. Elanna spent the evening telling stories about here adventures. Kalari did not have much time at this Celebration, as he was still preparing his troops for battle. Scar was all dressed up in his military outfit for the occasion, but spent most of it in deep conversation with his military advisors. Out of the corner of his eye, Taka noticed Elanna looking at him fondly. He wished he had more time with her. Finally, Shere Kahn rose and the whole Valley became silent. Shere Kahn ascended to the pinnacle of a small boulder that overlooked the ceremonial grounds. Finally, he motioned to Trimidian Trimidian rose and said. "His royal majesty, the Great Shere Kahn calls forth Elanna to receive the mark of a Kube Warrior." Elanna rose and he escorted her up to the top of the boulder. Once at the top, Trimidian returned to his position at the base of the huge rock. Shere Kahn spoke. "Elanna, you were sent many years ago on a quest of great importance. You have accomplished more than any member of the Kube River Clan. You have proven yourself to be a great asset to me and to our clan, and now will be promoted to the highest ranks of my fighting force, as a true Kube Warrior. Wear that honor with dignity and pride, and always remember who you are." With that said, Shere Kahn placed a golden/diamond necklace around Elanna. Then he said. "I herby grant the title of Supreme Commander of Shere Kahn’sKube Warriors to Elanna. I now present Elanna with the Golden Sword Of Kube." Elanna accepted the honor, bowed her head, and said, “I am most honored Shere Kahn, almighty one. I will continue to serve you to the best of my ability and will always fight with the honor of a Kube Warrior." Shere Kahn handed her the sword and aloud cheer rose up from the audience down below. It would be a moment Scar and Elanna would remember for the rest of their lives.
During the whole celebration and the ceremony, Elanna could only think of one other thing besides her award. She couldn’t stop thinking about Kalari. Elanna grew tired of all of this pomp and circumstance and decided to retire for the night. Kalari had finished going over the military plans, and had no time for fun and games. He decided to retire early as well. On the way to their respective quarters, Scar came across his former lover, Elanna. Elanna had been meaning to talk to Kalari, so this was her chance.
Elanna walked over to Taka and said, "You know, it’s as if we’ve known each other sometime in the past. I have never seen a lion as handsome as you, Kalari." "I never thought I’d say this, but I feel as if you were family, but that is impossible because tonight was our first meeting. But I can’t stop thinking that you look so familiar, as though I’ve seen you before. Ever since that moment when I saw you for the first time, I have been feeling a flame of passion growing inside of me, as though the force of love has been rekindled inside my heart. I need you Kalari. I need a Kube warrior as strong and as brave as you." Taka smiled and said, "I can’t believe it’s really you, Elanna. I never thought that we would ever be reunited after that night when you were driven away from your home." Elanna was startled that Kalari knew so much about her past. "Wh- wh- what are you talking about. How do y- y- y- you k-k-k-know s-s-so much about m-m- my past?" Scar knew he could not hold back his past from Elanna. "Elanna," he answered, "I have returned. I have come back to my love, Elanna." "I am in reality Scar, or Taka, as you know me by name. It might seem hard for you to believe, but I have found my way here to you, my love."

THE LION KING TALES #2: "SCAR'S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE" CHAPTER
9>>> " ONWARD TO VICTORY!!!!!!!!! "
============================================================
The rest of the night was spent with the most beautiful lioness in the world. Scar was happy to have his former love back. He was also excited about the upcoming military campaign. " I only wish that I could have more time with you, Elanna," Scar said. Elanna responded, " I will always be here for you Taka. But the opportunity for victory will not. In our clan, Taka, Duty comes first before friendship. You must uphold your duty and go onward to victory. I will be waiting for you when you return victorious. "
Dawn broke across the Savanna. Kalari and his Kube Warriors were ready to go. There was a touch of nervousness in the air, mixed in with excitement. Finally Shere Kahn arrived and gave the signal. " You are about to embark on a dangerous journey. Some of you may not return. But even so, you must fight with the pride of Kube and not back down under any circumstances. We will win this battle. Now, ONWARD TO VICTORY! "
With that, Scar said, " Troops- move out! " The large fighting force of Shere Kahn, set off down victory road. It was a long march, but everyone was excited. They were to be a part of history. They would forever be known as the ones who helped Shere Kahn rise to power. It took two nights and three days to walk to their destination. They only had time to stop for food and water. Soon, they could see the desert give way to Savanna, and finally they arrived at a large mountain cliff.
" We are here, men," Scar said. "Prepare to fight.” Hidzabi, had been informed that a group of newcomers were near the Southern Savanna region, by his majordomo, Pabwazi, who had been on lookout all morning. He was ready and waiting. Scar walked up to Hidzabi, and said. I would like to introduce myself as Kalari." "We have come from points to the North, the Kube River Valley. We are members of the Tiger Clan Of the Kube River Valley. We are the Kube Warriors, and we follow the GREAT SHERE KAHN. We are here, Hidzabi, to reclaim the ‘Orb Of Strength,’ and the ‘Gemstone Of Power,’ which is rightfully ours. You stole it from Shere Kahn’s father, Shere Kahn I and will now pay for your actions."

***** THE LION KING TALES #2: "SCAR'S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE">>
CHAPTER 10 "THE BATTLE-VICTORY IS OURS"*****
==============================================
Hidzabi was all alone. This should be easy, Taka thought. Just as they were about to attack, Hidzabi let out a vicious "Roooooooaaaaarrrrr." "The Orb strength and the Gemstone of Power are rightfully ours, he snarled. Shere Kahn’s father, Shere Kahn I, stole it from us many years ago. These precious items were meant to be kept in the hands of the Good, not the Evil. Your Tiger Clan, headed by Shere Kahn is as evil as evil gets. You do not deserve the power the Orb or the Gemstone generates. I and my army will make sure you get exactly what you all deserve, a one way ticket to death! " "HA!," Scar said. " Army?" " What army? " " I don’t see any army! " Hidzabi let out another “Roooooaaaaaarrr!” This time, before Kalari had any time to respond, sveral dozen lions and tigers appeared. “Attack! Attack!,” Hidzabi shouted. The Kube Warriors drew their weapons. Hizabi’s troops broke into a charge. Soon, it was an all out war. Lions and Tigers from both sides became entangled in a fierce battle. Many warriors on both sides were wounded and a few lost their lives in battle. The battle lasted into the night and well into the next day. Finally, Kalari and his fighting force had Hidzabi cornered. Hizabi had been trying to return to his headquarters to hide the Orb and the Gemstone from Kalari. Kalari and his troops had managed to surround him. "Give up Hizabi, or you shall be terminated! ", Trimidian shouted. Trimidian had been there throughout the battle, and had fought courageously alongside Kalari. Kalari added, "Have one of your men retrieve the Orb and another take the Gemstone Of Power to me. If I do not receive these items by sundown, You will not live to see the light of another day Hmm-Hmm! "
There was nothing Hidzabi could do. He had to give up th Orb and the Gemstone or face the chance of losing his kingdom. "I have no other choice, I must obey your orders," Hidzabi answered. Hidzabi then ordered two of his men who were still able to walk, " Bring the Orb of Strength, and the Gemstone Of Power to me, at once! " Hidzabi’s troops quickly returned with the "Orb of Strength" and the "Gemstone Of Power," in hand. Scar accepted these sacred objects with an evil smile. Kalari turned to Trimidian and Shere Kahn’s top military advisor said, "VICTORY IS OURS!" "NOW BEGONE HIDZABI! " "Don’t even think about following us or the consequences will be severe." With that, Scar and his fighting force left victorious, for the Valley Of the River Kube. For Taka, the taste of victory was sweet! Kalari’s test was now complete

11>>>>>>>>>>>>>> " WITH THE TEST COMPLETE- SCAR NOW BECOMES A TRUE
KUBEWARRIOR " *****************************
===============================================================
Scar and Trimidian returned to Kube with their booty. This was a day that was to be long remembered by the followers of Shere Kahn. They now had the power to control the world. POWER was their DESTINY, POWER was their FREEDOM! Now, nobody could drive them back, and the Tiger Clan Of the Kube River Valley could now retake the land that was taken from them so long ago.
SHERE KAHN was there to greet his victorious troops. A loud victory cheer rose up in great volume as the Kube warriors returned from battle. Trimidian and Scar walked up to Shere Kahn and bowed their heads. "Almighty one, our Great leader, Shere Kahn!"Trimidian spoke first. "We have fulfilled our promises to you, the promise of VICTORY!" "I herby present you with the "Orb of Strength!" Scar took his place alongside his comrade and said, "Your majesty, the almighty Shere Kahn, you have taught us well. This victory would not have been possible without your teachings!" "I herby present you with the "Gemstone Of Power." Shere Kahn looked pleased and accepted these prized possesions with gratitude. He rose and walked up to Trimidian and Kalari. "Trimidian, you and the rest of our fighting force have proven themselves in this harsh time of battle. You have shown me that I can always count on you to carry out your duties, and that you will always uphold the sacred Oath of the River Kube. But it is Kalari, who is the main hero of this mission. He was given the noble opportunity to undertake his test, and he has been successful with high marks. Kalari’s sharp rise through the ranks to become one of my top military advisors, as well as the completion of this most difficult test, has shown me that he is truly worthy of the mark of a true Kube warrior. He has never let us down, and it is my opinion that he never will. Kalari is one of the most loyal friends I have ever known, and he will now come forward to receive the mark of a true Kube warrior. If you accept this rank, Kalari, I ask you to come forward."
Scar rose and approached Shere Kahn, kneeled before him, and bowed his head in respect. " Kalari I hereby designate you as a full member of the Tiger Clan Of The Kube River Valley, and I will now present you with the Golden Armor of Kube." With extreme pride in his eyes, Taka accepted this with deep honor. Shere Kahn then motioned to Trimidian. He handed something to Shere Kahn. Shere Kahn continued the ceremony. "Now that you have the Armor of Kube, you will now need the Golden Sword Of Kube that will guide you to your destiny. Always remember the power of the sword and it will guide you on the right path in history." With that, the ceremony was complete.
Taka had noticed Elanna watching him with pride throughout the ceremony. He was sure that they would now be able to settle down and make up for lost time. For the next few weeks, Taka spent much of his time with Elanna, and the spark had been lit that would soon fuel the fires of love. Even with Scar’s busy schedule as one of Shere Kahn’s top military advisors, he still tried to set aside as much time as possible for Elanna.

THE LION KING TALES: " SCAR'S JOURNEY--THE LONG ROAD TO KUBE"
CHAPTER 12>>>>>>>"FORMER ENEMIES MEET AS FRIENDS "
===============================================================
One day, Scar was out on military patrol when he came across an adult lion stretched out on a rock. In Taka’s eyes, this lion seemed to be one of royalty, one of prestige and of high honor, like himself. Scar walked over to introduce himself. The other lion was startled by his sudden appearance and jumped up in a defensive position, but when he realized that he did not pose much of a threat relaxed and withdrew his fangs.
Taka initiated the conversation. " Hi, my name is Kalari. I am from points to the North and reside in the Kube River Valley. I have been through much pain and suffering in my life, but have found my place in the river Kube, allied with Shere Kahn." He then proceeded to tell his life story. How he Kalari, was next in line for the throne until a young prince had been born. He then told Simba how he had personally driven this young king from his home after killing his father out of the heat of the moment. With an expression of agony and pain on his face, as if he was trying to block out this moment from his mind, Scar said, " The lust for Power was too much for me, it took control of my body." "Once I got the idea of becoming King, I could not stop. I tried to control myself, but there was no turning back." "I feel bad now for my actions, and would like to make amends, but I know that is impossible. I sometimes wish I was dead. I will never be able to face that lion again, at least not in my lifetime. But I do know one thing, If I ever had a second chance to relive my life, I would make up for my past actions. But that is impossible as well.” Kalari continued. “It was a few years later, that this lion cub, now fully grown rightfully overthrew me and nearly killed me for what I had done. After all, I deserved it. I was attacked, and when I awoke found myself in a vast desert wasteland. I realized that I had been left there to die. I was lost, miles away from home, and had nowhere to go. Luckily though I survived, thanks to Shere Kahn. I awoke the next morning and found myself in the Kube River Valley. I joined Shere Kahn and since that moment have risen to the ranks as a top military advisor in his Tiger Clan of Kube warriors ever since. I am now the third highest ranking member of his military force. Only Trimidian and Shere Kahn himself are above me. I finally have found the power I had cherished throughout my life and am now at peace with myself. I have tried to block out my past, and have been trying to make up for it ever since, but I have found that it is hard to forget about your past, and it is extremely difficult to make up for your past actions. I still have nightmares about my former life to this day." Simba listened with interest when he mentioned the word "SHERE KAHN," and had noticed Kalari’s Golden Aromor and Golden Sword, the mark of A Kube Warrior.
Simba had listened to his story with horror and sympathy. You see, Simba had been that young lion cub Kalari described in his past, and although Kalari had not been the one who had injured Simba, the anger rose inside him anyway when Kalari told him of his actions. But on the other hand, this lion, unlike that brute Scar, had felt sorry for his actions and had rectified himself. Kalari was similar, but in many other ways, unlike that evil lion, Scar, who had driven Simba away so many years ago. However, Simba could not help shuddering as he heard this story. It sounded so similar to the situation at Pride Rock when he was a lion cub. Almost everything that Kalari told Simba had actually happened to him. And it seemed kind of strange that this lion, Kalari, looked extremely similar to his evil Uncle , Scar. However, this was Kalari, not Scar back from the dead. So in this case, Simba was able to feel more sypathetic to the hard life Kalari had been through. When Taka was finished, he said, " Now that I have given my life story, who are you? "
" I am Simba, King Of Pride Rock, and I reside not too far from here in the Pridelands. I too, have been through much pain and suffering throughout my lifetime, but have found peace as King. I was exiled as a cub and had to fight my way back to the throne, a situation similar to the one you have described. I was that lion cub you described. But the lion who drove me off, Scar was his name, never felt the great amount of sorrow and sympathy that you seem to feel for your actions. I drove Taka off with help from the hyenas, and he has never returned. I presume that he is dead now, as we left him to die in the desert not too far from here. As many years have past I have pretty much forgotten my dreadful past, except for my happy moments such as the times I had with my father King Mufasa, before he died. Those were moments to cherish. I am at peace as I am King, but being king does have its difficulties. Every day I have to keep the Circle of Life on its path, and have to deal with the many aspects of a kingdom. The best part though, is that as I am king, I have as much time as I want with my mate, Nala. I also am teaching my son, Tanabi, the future king how to become a ruler of a vast land. These are the times you remember, Kalari. As King, you have time, but time passes so quickly." "I would like to take the opportunity to invite you to my home, the Pridelands, as an honored guest of the Royal family. Do you accept my Invitation? "

KUBE" >>CHAPTER 13>>>> " TAKA COMES HOME!!! "
===============================================================
Kalari replied. " I would be deeply honored your royal majesty. I accept." Simba said, "Come, Follow me. It is not far to my kingdom. I will show you the way." They set off across the savanna. At last, they came to a pool of water. Simba and Kalari stopped for a moment for a drink before proceeding to the gates of Simba’s home. While they rested, Scar had time to think. He tried to remember where he had heard that name before. " Simba," he said to himself. Yes, it was true that Simba was a common name among lions, but Taka felt close to this lion, as if he were somehow, family.
It took another half hour of walking, before Simba came to a halt. " We are here. I reside in a cave on the top of that cliff. " Scar looked around and what he saw shocked him. A setting almost as beautiful as the Kube River Valley stretched for miles in every direction. Taka looked around, and was bewildered. A chill crept up Scar’s spine. He felt as if he had been here before. He felt as if he was home, even though this was his his first time here. He felt closer to home than he ever had before.
No, Scar thought. This could not be happening. Could this be the same Simba that he had exiled years before? Could this really be his former home? At first, Taka had not been able to believe Simba, when he spoke of the Pridelands, and of his incredible story as a cub. But now it was clear to Scar, that his past was coming back to haunt him. Could it be that the same past that he had tried to block out of his mind, now had returned as his worst nightmare? " This has to be a dream," Taka said to himself. Simba overheard him and asked, " What was that? " "Uhhhh- N-N-N- Nothing. I just was thinking about something. About how this beautiful land is here and I never knew about it. If I had come across it when I was looking for a home, I would have not been able to leave this oasis in the African wilderness. Kube is a great place, but I have never laid eyes on a place as beautiful as this!" Simba and Kalari proceeded up to the base of the cliff, and soon were nearing the cave where Simba resided. Simba whispered to Scar, " You wait here and I’ll let everyone know of your arrival." From outside the cave, Kalari could hear Simba say, " I have met a lion of great nobility. His name is Kalari, advisor to Shere Kahn. He is outside the cave now, waiting to meet you all. I trust that you will treat him with the respect that we give to royal visitors to the Pridelands."
Scar’s nightmare soon turned into reality. As the members of Simba pride emrged from the cave, Scar realized that he had indeed returned to his former home. It was like a dream come true but a nightmare all at the same time. He recognized them all. Nala, Sarabi, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa. They were all there. Although thankfully, no one seemed to recognize him as Scar, as it had been many years, and most likely everyone thought he was dead, killed by the desert heat. Everyone welcomed him with open arms, although he did overhear Zazu say to Simba. " He does look a lot like Taka, doesn’t he? " Simba replied, " Yes, but this is definately not Scar. I have spent awhile in conversation with Kalari, and he is almost an exact opposite of Scar, even though he looks strikingly similar in appearance." "Scar is dead. We must treat Kalari as royalty, as he is one of Shere Kahn’s top advisors."
Kalari was a bit nervous that someone would recognize him as Scar, so he did his best to cover up his past identity. He was introduced once again to his old friends, the same group he had betrayed years earlier. Time had passed and everyone seemed to be much older than when he was king. At least 10 years had gone by since he had been overthrown as king of Pride Rock, if not more. And now Simba had a son, which Simba introduced as Tanabi.
Even if he had revealed his identity, and even if they had welcomed him back under the name Scar, Taka knew that he would never have another chance to be king. That was over. But it felt great to Taka, that he was back in his former home, and was among family and friends, even thiough they had no idea who Kalari really was. Taka had returned.
For the next few weeks, Scar visited the Pridelands numerous times. Simba and Kalari became good friends. Taka wondered what had happened to Hidzabi. He was sure that Hidzabi was healing his wounds from battle and reorganizing the troops for another campaign. That made Taka kind of nervous. Now that he was begining to build the bonds of friendship with Simba, if Hidzabi told Simba of their battle, and asked for his help, that would surely end the circle of friendship. Scar hoped that with time, he (as Kalari) and Simba would become good friends and Scar could eventually reveal his true identity sometime in the future. After many years as friends, maybe Simba would see that Taka had truly changed for the better, and would forget about the past. But Hidzabi could very well sever all ties of friendship that he and Simba might have left. One day, while on his way to visit Simba, Shere Kahn’s messenger, Kwazi, arrived with a message from Shere Kahn.

" Brother Kalari," Kwazi said. " Shere Kahn needs you at once!" " Armies are gathering to the South. It appears they are headed for Kube! " Without a second thought, Scar turned the opposite direction he was headed and took off. When he arrived , Shere Kahn was there to meet him. " I want you and Trimidian to plan this military campaign. Elanna will lead the Armies into battle." " What is going on? " Scar asked Shere Kahn? " I’m gone for no more than a day and there is talk of war?" Shere Kahn answered, " Kalari, that traitor Hidzabi has called for war. He has called upon others for help as well. King Simba’s majordomo has given me this statement." Shere Kahn handed Kalari a note. It read: " Due to circumstances that threaten the Great Circle Of Life, I, KING SIMBA, King of Pride Rock and the Pridelands must ally with Hidzabi, and defeat this great evil that threatens life as we know it. War has been declared on Shere Kahn and his Kube Warriors."
" B -B- But Sire, isn’t there anything we can do? Isn’t there any way we can make peace?" "I’m afraid not, Kalari. Once we threatened the Great Circle Of Life, by taking the Gemstone of Power and the Orb of Strength from Hidzabi, I knew that fool Simba would side with him. There is no other choice but to fight! " Scar could not believe what he was hearing! Now he would have to face Simba once more in battle. This time however, he could not convince himself to do this. Taka had to decide for himself which path was the right one to take. It was his destiny that was on the line. His future was at stakeIt was getting late. The sun had set and the full moon cast a golden shadow over the Kube River Valley. The battle would begin the next morning. Taka could not sleep, but this time it was not due to the excitement of an upcoming battle. He had to choose his path on the Great Circle Of Life, and he didn’t have much time to think it over. By betraying Shere Kahn, who had saved his life, and helped him gain the power he had always dreamed of, he would lose his home, his friends, his rank, and his honor. Most of all, he would miss Elanna, who Scar knew, was devoted to Shere Kahn. She would never back down. But how could he just kill his nephew? Taka had changed. He was a different lion than he was when he tried to hurt Simba. When he had first set out on his quest for the throne, he had believed that he was invincible, that no one could stop him. It had taken some time, but when all was set and done, Taka had come to realize that sometimes, your actions can lead to bad consequences. Now he had a chance to make amends with Simba, and help carry on the Circle Of Life. It would all come down to his decision. This would be Taka’s ultimate test: Would Good triumph over Evil? Kalari’s final decision would lead him to his final destiny!

It was dawn in the savanna. But this dawn was unlike any other Scar had seen in the past. It was unusually quiet in the Kube River Valley. Kalari rose and stretched. It was going to be a long day. He looked in the direction of the Southern horizon. He could just barely make out the rows of Kube warriors being inspected before battle. Shere Kahn must have already left for the battleground with Trimidian and Elanna. He looked up once more and saw smoke rise from the horizon. The war had begun! "This is my chance," Scar said. Taka knew that he was in control of his destiny! Last time he had made the mistake of following a path of evil. Now he would choose the right path.
As he was one of Shere Kahn's most "trusted" advisors, Kalari was one of only three other clan members who knew the whereabouts of the "Orb Of Strength," and the "Gemstone Of Power." Scar crept cautiously up to the cave where these sacred objects were held. Just as he was about to take hold of these treasures, Trimidian appeared. "Just what do you think you're doing, Kalari?" "I'm sorry, Trimidian. You are indeed a loyal friend, but I have a duty to uphold." With that hecharged at Trimidian. Trimidian didn't even have time to react! Scar met him head on with a blow so powerful, he was dead in a matter of minutes.
Scar took hold of the "Gemstone Of Power" and the "Orb Of Strength." There was no turning back now that Trimidian was dead. Taka had already chosen his path. He had to find Simba and show him that he was on his side, before Shere Kahn discovered him missing and came looking for him.

Scar ran toward the battlefield as fast as he could, for he was weighed down by those heavy objects. He spotted Shere Kahn almost immediately. He searched the horizon for Simba. Finally, he spotted him. He was in the back lines, watching over the action. Scar circled around the battlefield, so as not to be noticed by Shere Kahn." He found Simba and crept cautiously up to him. "Pssssssst-- Simba! it's me, Kalari. I'm here to fight on your side. Simba, I have retrieved the Orb Of Strength and the Gemstone Of Power, as I was one of only three who knows the location. Only Trimidian, who I have killed, and Shere Kahn himself knew where these objects were hidden. I am no longer a member of the Tiger Clan Of the Kube River Valley, even though I leave behind some great friends. They may have saved my life in my time of need, but I have come to realize that all we stand for is evil! I have had enough evil in my lifetime, and will not stand to see your land ravaged by those beasts. All they are after is Power, the Power of Evil! It is time that I use my power to help you defeat this great evil that threatens to break the Circle Of Life forever. I nearly disrupted the Circle Of Life myself,and I can't let this happen again." Simba replied, "Kalari what you have done is a feat that deserves great honor. You have sacrificed your Power and have broken the Oath Of Kube, in order to Protect the Great Circle Of Life. If we end up victorious, I will make sure that your actions will be well rewarded." With that, Simba took the Orb and the Gemstone from Kalari and handed these possessions over to Hidzabi, who carried them away. Simba turned to Kalari and said, "Kalari, I have a plan that will put an end to Shere Kahn's quest for power once and for all!"
Kalari walked back around to the other side of thebattlefield. He was going to do something that he should have done ages ago. He was going to destroy the evil building up inside of him once and for all, and make sure that this evil would never return. Before he left to finish his job, Taka said to Simba. "Simba, THE FUTURE IS NOW!"

===============================================================
Scar quickly circled back around to the other side and Shere Kahn spotted him. "You are late, Kalari. What is your explanation for this?" Kalari shouted, "Sire, Trimidian has killed himself! I awoke this morning, and found him dead in his cave. You must come with me at once!" Shere Kahn always came to the aid of any fallen comrades, regardless of whether they were dead or still living." Elanna, you are in control, while I am gone!", Scar ordered. Elanna heard him and nodded her head, but was too busy fighting to respond. Simba and Shere Kahn ran as fast as they could to their home.
"Allright, where is he,?" Shere Kahn asked. Scar said, "In that cave over there." Shere Kahn went into the cave, to inspect the situation, just as Kalari had expected. The plan was working. Within moments, Simba and the hyenas, as well as members from Hidzabi's pride, had him surrounded. Shere Kahn fell on the ground in anger at Kalari's betrayal. He Roared with all his might, but to no avail. How could Kalari, his most trusted advisor, betray him like this? "Wh- Wh- What is the meaning behind this, Kalari,?" Shere Kahn asked, the fear rising inside his enormous body.
Kalari walked up to Shere Kahn and looked him in the eye. "Shere Kahn, you have broken the laws of the Great Circle Of Life. You have concentrated too much on your lust for power, thus forgetting to uphold your duty to this Great Circle. Shere Kahn, in breaking these laws, it is as bad as breaking the Oath Of Kube. I broke those laws, but I have chosen to do something about it. You obviously, have not. You knew the consequences of trying to place yourself above the Circle Of Life, and now you will pay for your Evil actions. The power bestowed in the Gemstone Of Power and the Orb of Strength were built for the Good, and were never meant for the Evil. You never seemed to realize that SHERE KAHN, and that mistake has led to your future destiny-- that being DEATH!" With that said, Simba, Kalari, Hidzabi, and the hyenas moved closer to Shere Kahn with each step. Soon they were upon him, and the almighty Shere Kahn was reduced to a pile of bones!
The group of allies returned to the battlefield. Elanna was approached by Simba. "Elanna, we have personally disposed of Shere Kahn and Trimidian. If you do not believe us, go see for yourself. But you should take our word, Elanna.You have betrayed the honor of Pride Rock, and if you choose to stay with this great evil, I will be forced to make sure you do not return. Oh-- and by the way, Kalari has sided with me and has dismissed you as a villain, a lioness worthy of nothing more than death!" "Those words are lies!," Elanna shouted. "Kalari loves me, he is on my side." Kalari walked swiftly up to Elanna and snarled, "DON'T SPEAK FOR ME ELANNA! I have changed. I am no longer evil, as you are. I know now that we must always try to find our path on the Great Circle Of Life, and must never try to break this Circle. You are Guilty Of breaking this Circle Elanna, lioness of great evil!" IF you and the rest of your evil group do not leave this area forever, I will personally kill you." There was nothing more Elanna could do. Her troop supply was depleted, and she didn't have much strength left to win this battle. Elanna glared at Kalari, and with an angry tone, said, "Even though you have won this battle, Kalari, you will not win the War." I will return, and when I do you will be sorry. TAKA, you will be sorry!" And with that, she was gone, leaving her trail of evil blowing in the wind. Simba truned sharply to Scar and said, "TAKA? NO! It can't be you? You're dead!"
