OCTOBER 2001

Interview with Peter Bensley

By: Tom Brouwers, 18 October 2001

1. How did you like to act in ‘Mirror, Mirror’?

It was a great experience as I

had never been to New Zealand

before.

2. How did you start acting?

Drama school in Sydney

3. What was your favourite scene in ‘Mirror, Mirror’?

Scenes involving the 'tricks' that took you through the mirror

4. What is your age/birthdate?

6/2/54

5. If there would come a third series of ‘Mirror, Mirror’, would you like to act in it?

Yes.  There is a little coffee shop in Wellington I grew fond

of.

6. In episode 17 or so you had to play one scene on the graveyard, near the grave of a certain ‘Matilda Iredale’. Does the grave really exist, and if so, was she related to one of the people who made ‘Mirror, Mirror’?

The graveyard was real - but the grave itself was built by the

props department.

DOUNHO lately...

Some of you might remember the first website I ever uploaded, known as DOUNHO. It contained only 5 websites: Mirror Mirror, Thunderstone, Spellbinder, the Wayne Manifesto and a website with interviews, Down Under Today. In one year I had the chance to prove myself as a webmaster, I did a lot of interviews, and I've spent a lot of time behind my computer. But it had its results: I have heaps of visits, and I got loads of positive reactions about my website. This made me continue with this website. I have never thought about giving up, because this subject really interests me. Giving up is something which might come in the future.

This year is my final year at school, so next year I'll probably move to another city and live on my own. Off course I'll return homewards in the weekends, so don't worry I can't upload my website then. What I can't promise you, is that I upload many things in that year, because I'm really busy with my study then and I also want to spend time with friends and family.

Finally, something which is great news for you. Someone (you know who you are) gave me the advice to change DOUNHO. That's why I asked my brother a few weeks ago to design a new logo and background for my website. It's nearly finished, you can expect it this week. So look out for that, mates!!  And by the way: the logo you see above, is NOT the logo which my brother made. This is an old design which didn't fit on my website. The new one will come this week!
