1. What was your first job?
I was a sales assistant at Darrell Lea chocolate shop (yum).
2. How did you break into your industry?
I was working with a Sydney modelling agency while I was at school
and they sent me along to the audition. I was just very lucky I think.
3. What challenges did you face early in your career?
My biggest challenge was believing I could do it.
I had never acted before so lack of confidence made some scenes very hard to do.
4. Do you have a career mentor?
Not really. I have actors I admire like Michelle Pfeiffer and Leonardo DiCaprio.
I love watching good actors.
5. How have you balanced your professional life with your personal life?
When I leave work I leave it all AT WORK and when I get home my personal life begins!
6. What are the most important skills you've learned through the years?
PRACTICE makes perfect.
7. What would you do differently professionally if you could do it all over again?
Nothing. I am quite happy with how my life has gone so far. It is NOW that I can make changes. I may do an acting course to learn a different technique.
8. Where will you be in 5 years?
I have absolutely NO idea. Hopefully I will still be acting.
I'd like to do another feature film or an American series.
9. Where will your industry be in 5 years?
Hopefully it will be thriving. I think Australia has some amazing talent.
Great directors, smart producers and writers and quality actors.
10. What is your advice to young people starting out?
If acting is what you want to do then you have to be prepared to be knocked back a few times
and not take it personally. You just have to stay focused and never EVER give up.
