POSITIVE MOVES NEEDED TO
QUELL URBAN TERRORISM
24th October, 2000
Dear President Thabo Mbeki,
We at Crime Busters of South Africa will support any postitive move to get to the bottom of the spate of bombings in Cape Town. We are particulary perturbed that no convictions have yet taken place in spite of the fact that this bombing campaign started almost two years ago.
Does this suggest that our SA Police Force is completely useless or, does it mean that there is a political motive for this apparent ineptitude?
The time has come for Safety & Security Minister Tswete to produce results.
National SA Police Commissioner Selebi should be brought before parliament to explain why no convictions have been made. If necessary heads must roll.
We look forward to your positive actions with regard to this highly unacceptable situation.
Yours faithfully,
Keith Knott
